The Most Effective Way for Separating People To Keep Things Civil

  • The fastest way to sort out a settlement
  • No face-to-face contact required
  • Lowest cost option (installment plans available)
Australia has one of the worst divorce and settlement systems in the world.

Many separating couples burn 10% to 40% of their wealth and 2 to 4 years of their lives trying to come to a financial settlement.

There are virtually no laws whatsoever about how you must go about reaching a settlement. The only scenario where rules exist is if a case goes to litigation, which is financial suicide for most families.

You've probably heard such stories yourself. They're true. It's a phenomenal waste of time and money. And it's unnecessary.

The way to avoid all that is to try a neutral, non-adversarial service first.

We're Australia's leading specialist financial settlement firm. We help separating couples who want to find a solution as amicably as possible. Or at least keep it as civil as possible.

We're not lawyers. That's key, because it means we can work neutrally for both of you, rather than just one side.

We've helped thousands of separating couples to reach sensible agreements: quickly, cost-effectively and with the least amount of stress.

Our services are highly convenient: all work is performed via phone and email - so there's no need for you to travel to meetings or sit face-to-face with your former partner or anyone else.

We have a unique approach with a very high success rate.

  • Or call us on 1300 975 994 to chat about your situation (there's no charge for that).

Reaching and Formalising Financial Settlements

We offer three distinct, affordable services. You choose the services suitable for your situation - depending on how far you've progressed towards settlement so far.

Scenario 1: "We don't really know where to start or what's fair"

Picture
Solution:  A detailed recommended settlement for you

Our “Settlement Report” is an objective assessment of your family’s financial situation, followed by a specific recommendation on how the two of you should divide up each of your main assets and liabilities.  Learn more...

Scenario 2: "We need someone neutral to negotiate an agreement between us..."

Picture
Solution:  A skilled mediator can help you reach an agreement quickly

For most couples, the Settlement Report gets them to an agreement quickly. But if you still need a hand to bridge your differences about what deal you can live with, our Mediators can help. Our Mediators are neutral, impartial specialists who help separating couples reach agreement, usually within 4 to 10 hours.  Learn more...

Scenario 3: "We've reached an agreement and now we want to make it formal and legally binding..."

Picture
Solution:  Create formal documents to protect both of you

If you've reached agreement - either with our help or through your own direct discussions - it's time to formalise your deal. We can help you secure Consent Orders or a Binding Financial Agreement -  at low cost - to give you both proper legal protection. Learn more...

So if you don't yet have an agreement, you'd start with a Settlement Report, because it's the lowest stress and lowest cost way to make progress.

If the two of you agree on the recommendations in the Report (over 80% of client couples do), you'd then progress to formal documentation.

But if the Report doesn't get you to agreement, you have the option to move to Mediation, which will build on the facts and perspectives you learned in the Report.

In combination, these three services are the most effective suite available - low cost, quick and low stress. It's simply the smartest way to achieve an outcome in a civilised manner.

Some Client Feedback

“We’re so glad we worked through you people at Divorce Partners. We’re both satisfied with the agreement we reached, and it was far quicker than stories we’ve heard from friends who have gone through lawyers. Happily put that behind us so we can move on with our lives.”
    Deirdre L, Victoria

“The Settlement Report was extremely helpful. It really helped us understand how settlements work and your recommended deal structure was spot on for us - really practical and we both agreed we think the outcome was fair.”
    Alex B, South Australia

“That Settlement Report was super informative and gave us the complete picture. What you suggested for us was kind of what we were thinking but it was so reassuring to see that your objective view was mostly the same. We feel confident that our deal was fair. Really convenient that you guys could do our Consent Orders too, thanks!”
    Pete K, Western Australia

“Our Mediator was great - so supportive and understanding but also I liked that she was frank and told us what we each needed to hear. It definitely hit me that we were wallowing around with all sorts of opinions but once we heard Veronica’s experience across hundreds of clients it made such a difference. My ex agreed he was being unreasonable on some parts and honestly I can see I was too. I tell anyone I meet who’s separating that they should come to you.”
    Melanie R, ACT

“So simple and clear - cut through all the b***s*** and told us what we needed to hear. Can’t say we’ll ever be amicable again, but your service got the job done quickly and was very affordable compared to using lawyers!  Very pleased, thanks all.”
    Brian J, Queensland

Coronavirus

Some clients want to know how Coronavirus will affect our services.

All our services have always been provided by phone and email. This was designed for convenience but under the present circumstances of Coronavirus it does mean you do not need to travel to meetings or sit in contact with anyone else - not your former partner, our staff or anyone else. So you can move ahead with your settlement without compromising your health security.

Some clients are experiencing financial hardship or uncertainty about their incomes. Although our fees are already low compared to most other providers, we have introduced a range of deferred payment options to smooth the costs in these difficult times. Please ask about these if you wish.
