We create a communication bridge

Often when couples separate, it’s really hard for them to talk with each other. If they turn to lawyers, it gets worse, because lawyers can only “represent one side” and usually only talk with the other side’s lawyer. That's usually slow, expensive and antagonistic. Instead, we act as a civilised (and diplomatic!) back channel so couples can explore and resolve their arrangements without inflaming each other. 

We run a non-adversarial "shuttle"

In our model, we don’t “represent” anyone. We are neutral and we work for both of you. We use a “shuttle” method, talking to you each separately, as many times as it takes, exploring potential arrangements, modifying them based on your feedback, until we find a set of terms you both can live with. We also have mediators and financial specialists available as required.

We work the way it suits you

We work with you via the telephone and email. So you don't need to get dressed up to visit us, drive then wait in offices. It's a series of phone calls and emails, at your convenience.  And there's no uncomfortable or stressful face-to-face negotiations with your ex-partner: our shuttle method means you don't inflame or intimidate each other and you're not pressured to make on-the-spot decisions.

We're fast (very fast)

When separating people go to family lawyers, the average settlement time is 6 to 18 months. And if they go to court, it’s 2 to 4 years. At Divorce Partners, we usually secure settlements in 2 to 3 weeks, and arrange for legally binding documentation in 1 to 2 weeks. 

We work for fixed fees

We don’t believe in the tired old pay-by-the-hour model, where bills just keep going up and up. We provide our services for fixed fees. Usually our fees are 5% to 10% of what lawyers charge, but we get you a result months to years faster and with far less stress. 

We get you better outcomes

We always achieve better financial outcomes for you than you would get using the legal system. It's simple: if you don't have to pay huge legal fees, there is more left for you to divide - you both end up better off. And getting a faster result is also highly beneficial, financially and emotionally, for both of you and your children.
