Divorce Overview and Financial Outcomes

We get you started on how financial wealth gets divided in divorce. This lesson explains what the courts see as a “just and equitable” outcome. The division is not 50-50 in most cases. Instead it’s an attempt at a balancing act. Although there can be up to 30 different factors to consider, there are 3 core issues that the courts find most important. We’ll take a look at those.
